Wednesday Wishing

Just a couple things & ideas I’d like to adopt into my own home.  Wednesday turn into Friday now… please.

Country Living/Dreaming

Lately I’ve been missing the country more than ever.  Last week I made a trip to the homestead for the day just to get my favorite country fried steak and eggs and go on a hike.  The weekend before that I went to my family’s river house just to get some time in canoeing and fish- even though it was a slim chance in catching anything.  High rise denim and 90s Country Hits from been daily repeats (when not teaching).  Don’t know what’s going on but honestly I’ve got no complaints.  Here are some instragram pics that highlight what’s been going on in my free time lately.

Always Sometimes Anytime : Tiny Spark

Check out this fun shoot, Tiny Spark over at my favorite, Always Sometimes Anytime. Shot by a new member to the team, Tash Hopkins.  Talk about some great digs on a beautiful lassie.

A Little Muse

Tallulah Rose is one well dressed, but above all much loved child in New York.  Check out A Little Muse- Annemarie Lawless documents life with her daughter, and dedicates A Little Muse to her and her other passions; fashion, music, film and photography. It’s definitely a must see and you might even take a few fashion tips from Miss Tallulah Rose herself.

Hannah And Landon

I am one for film and one for good lighting, and I know you are too.  I could look through the beautiful images over at Hannah And Landon for hours…but I could only afford a little bit of time this morning because now it’s off to work.  Here are a few of many favorites.  Head on over and feel a little inspiration yourself.

The Second Bus Home : Room Service : Viktor Vauthier

Check out these beautiful photos of Viktor Vauthier taken by my lovely friend, Sara Gomes.  I stayed with Sara during my visit in Lisbon and the first night there she had just returned from getting filmed developed from her visit to London.  Sara is the photographer of the Room Service series at Vogue Portugal.  When she told me that she got to shoot Viktor Vauthier, I acted like a 12 year old  and collapsed on her bed.  I’ve been a fan of his photography, and looking at him you can tell why I am also a fan of him!  Be sure to visit more of the series and Sara’s blog, The Second Bus Home …keep a lookout on here for a little video-interview I am working on of Sara.x

A New Etsy Favorite : Ani Mariam

I am delighted to share a new etsy favorite, Ani Mariam.  Brought to you by one of my dearest friends, Ani herself.  Ani is known in our little city as being one of the kindest, most beautiful and just best gals all around-she has modeled for Need, Thief & Bandit, The Wild Heart and for my etsy, Na Nin.   Now, Ani is behind the camera and she has used her good-eye for fashion and vintage to bring great finds to etsy.

My New Year : Hopes & Wishes

I know I’ve been slow with the posts but again being a Kindergarten teacher can take up a lot of your time and I’ve still been in and out of the doc’s.  But again I’m in high spirits and still on a high from my last trip.  All in all I’m excited for the New Year and I’ve been thinking about what I’d like to accomplish : Get my motorcycle licsense, book more travel plans, find the perfect every day shoes, get a pup, and collect amazing new furniture and digs for Na Nin. A couple might end up being pipe-dreams, but nonetheless-they’re still fun to think about.

Good Morning, I Love You : Lisbon

I have returned from my 12 day visit in Lisbon and I must say I miss it already.  I wanted to capture every moment and after taking 10 rolls of film, I decided to make a special home for them to share :  Good Morning, I Love You. I plan on updating regularly with new photography throughout the year, but for now you can see a little bit of what I saw on my holiday.  Thank you so much to everyone in Lisbon - I love you all and can’t wait for our next reunion.

Happy Holidays - Off To Portugal

In a few hours I will be on a flight to Lisbon.  Two years ago, Sam and I went on a whim-and now we will be reuniting again in the most beautiful, majestic city.  We made amazing friends, as pictured above who we will be staying with.  I can’t wait to share about the trip.  I know I have been MIA-but the week before Christmas break as a Kindergarten teacher is insane.  When I return to the states I will be coming home to  doctor appointments due to recent seizures (hopefully I won’t have any while abroad!).  I didn’t want to share sad news, but I have good faith that I’m in good health. And any experience, negative or not, only pushes me to be a better person who lives a life worth sharing. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, and thank you so much to those in my life who has made 2011 one of the best years yet.
